What is the HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Course?

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid comprises of training and assessment activities to address the skills and knowledge required to offer a first aid response to a casualty. It applies to all workers who may need to provide first aid in various settings, including community and workplace environments.
Specific licensing and regulatory requirements related to this competency, including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) refresher training requirements, should be obtained from the relevant Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities. Generally, though you will be required to complete cardiopulmonary resuscitation training every year to maintain basic emergency life support skills and renew the first aid course triannually in order to maintain competency of your first aid certificate.

Who Should Take This Course?

Anyone who wishes to obtain a general first aid certificate by undertaking a basic first aid course. This is the first aid unit required for health professionals including enrolled and registered nurses, security officers, disability and support workers and others wishing to obtain first aid training to protect their family. This first aid course may be required by other industries, please check the course code required before enrolling in this nationally recognised training.
Completing your first aid training with AWDI Training in HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, will also result in you being issued a statement of attainment in HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, at no extra cost, as the cardiopulmonary resuscitation is a required component of the first aid training.

The HLTAID011 Provide First Aid training certificate is valid for 3 years, however, to keep it valid for the duration of that time, you must refresh your Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training every 12 months.
