Are you a RTO (Registered Training Organisation)?
What type of courses and training do you offer?
1- Security Courses:
A) AWDI Training offers Certificate II in security operations which contains the units required by the Queensland State
Government’s Department of Fair Trading for security and crowd control licensing purposes.
B) Security revalidation requirements. We offer the 3 units of competency required by the Queensland
State Government’s Department of Fair Trading for license revalidation.
2- First Aid Courses:
AWDI Training offers a range of First Aid and CPR units to meet the industry requirements for many
industries including security, nursing, aged care and childcare amongst others
3- Child Care:
 Certificate III and Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Are the courses all online?
Where do I do my practical training?
Generally, practical training will be in our premises at the address showing on the contact page of our website.
Onsite training and assessment can be arranged, at your workplace when a number of students working for the same organisation require training in the same or similar units.

How do I enrol?
What support is available?
AWDI Training is committed to ensuring you receive training, assessment and support services that meet your individual needs. To achieve this, we need to know what your needs are.
If at any point throughout your course you require any assistance or support please discuss these needs with AWDI staff and we will do our best to help. If you have any special needs, including language and literacy, learning, mobility, visual impairment or hearing please notify staff as soon as possible, preferably at the start of your course, to allow us to cater to your needs if possible.
Information you provide in relation to your needs will remain confidential and only be used to support you.
Is government funding available?
AWDI courses are, in general, funded by the student or their employer (fee for service), however, we are proud to be a Queensland state Government approved Skills Assure Supplier and are able to offer some of our training courses, to eligible applicants that is subsidised by the Qld Government’s Department of Education, Small Business and Training (DESBT).
Eligibility criteria are as follows.
You must:
- be a Queensland resident.
- be aged 15 years or over, and no longer at school (with the exception of VET in Schools students).
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident (including humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency.
- not hold, or be enrolled in, a certificate III level or higher qualification (not including qualifications completed at school and foundations skills training).
Please note that AWDI does not accept applicants for security training who are under 18 years as a security license will not be issued to any person under the age of 18 years in Qld and it would be unethical of us to do so.
What is the Certificate 3 Guarentee?
The Certificate 3 Guarantee supports eligible individuals to complete their first post-school certificate III level qualification and increase their skills to move into employment, re-enter the workforce or advance their career.
The program also supports school students to access training and Queensland’s Year 12 graduates to transition to employment.
